The high number of deaths of elderly people in nursing homes from the coronavirus raises “real” questions about institutional settings for older people.
That’s the verdict from the former Justice Minister Frances Fitzgerald.
The Dublin MEP is also calling for a concerted EU effort to develop proper standards to help carers in their workplaces.
