Living By Faith: 1 Thessalonians 2:1-12

Older Christians have an obligation to disciple and encourage younger Christians in their walk with Christ. How can we do that? Paul gives a wonderful example in 1 Thessalonians. In these verses, we see how to encourage and disciple younger believers by:

1. Persevering despite our circumstances (2:1-2)
2. Speaking and ministering as to please God, not for flattery or greed or to please people (2:3-6)
3. Using the care and instruction of a parent (2:7, 11-12)
4. Sharing our life with them (2:8)
