The Beginning of God’s Plan | Genesis 1:1-2

On Sunday, 12 November, Pastor Craig Baxter commenced the series 'Genesis: God's Unveiling Plan of Redemption and Blessing' with 'The Beginning of God's Plan' from the opening verses of the Bible - Genesis 1:1-2.

The great tragedy of our age is that an aggressive pursuit of secularism and individualism has left society without meaning, purpose and answers to the most fundamental questions every generation grapples with: who am I and what is my purpose for life? Genesis, known as the book of beginnings, provides the answers to these and many other crucial questions central to our lives. Not only that, but it is from the roots of Genesis that God’s redemptive plan in Christ emerges and unfolds through the rest of Scripture. Let us begin our journey through this crucial book.

1. Creation all began with God (v. 1)
2. Creation only makes sense in God
3. Creation is given life by God (v. 2)
4. Creation is all for God
