Trish is passion-driven photographer who started, as many artists do…following her fascinations and enjoying her art as a hobby. Over time her craft evolved, she sought out new ways to capture life and light and when the time came to take the leap and turn her hobby into a business, she wondered if she would still love it as much…

What helped her decide to become a full time photographer and ultimately turn her passion into a successful business, was her willingness to think beyond her current projects and always look to the next new way to explore how to love what she was doing!

The HUGE takeaway for me was that inside our passions, are opportunities to keep our spark lit…new perspectives, new tools, new toys, … the chance to grow. Often our passions run deep, we turn our energy and attention to one area and dive in and it becomes a love affair we don’t want to taint with money or “work”. So many of us keeping working at jobs that feel like work so that our passions stay love-filled. We also end up creating a hierarchy where what we love to do, ends up second (or third or last) to our work and responsibilities.

What I learned from Trish is that to keep that passion alive AND allow it to earn us money while using the majority of our energy and time, we need to peek our heads out from our passion cocoon and look around for new ways to do more of what we love!
