Resistance: 1/20/19

A couple of weeks ago in physical therapy, I "graduated" from the red resistance bands to the green ones. I felt very proud of myself until I realized that this new level meant the exercises I'd been doing wonderfully well with the red bands were now much more difficult. What was once easy and a bit humdrum was more challenging because of the increased resistance.

I've found the same to be true on my spiritual journey. When there is awakening, when we grow, when intuition sparks, when we "graduate" to the next level ... we can expect to meet increased resistance. 

But with that added difficulty can come a deeper awareness of Divine presence and protection as we shift our focus to this new way of being.
