Future EU budget under scrutiny in European Parliament – McGuinness

MEPs in Strasbourg have been looking at the future of the EU budget post Brexit. The discussions follow a recent reflection paper on EU finances that was published by the European Commission. Britain’s exit from the EU could leave a significant hole in the overall EU coffers. And MEPs have been looking at where potential cuts could be made if they were necessary.  The Fine Gael MEP Mairead McGuinness says she’s hoping there won’t be cuts to the common agricultural policy in the future.
