In a moment of frustration, Charlie Brown famously asks, "Isn't there anyone who knows what Christmas is all about?" This year, 2020, is a good year to step back and ask ourselves again, "Why did Christmas happen? Why is this baby, the Son of God, born in Bethlehem?" The answer is the most marvelous story of love you could ever be part of. And that's exactly what God wants. The love of the Christmas story is real. But so are the frustrations we often feel in trying to welcome that love into our hearts so that it changes the way we live. This Christmas, no matter what the frustrations have been, the Lord is offering us again the grace-filled moment to welcome that love into our hearts.
