Pink salt ponds flanking the SF Bay are going away!, Update on alien corpses - 09-20-23

The pink salt ponds on the Peninsula are going bye bye.  The color is caused by the organisms that live in the salty waters.  Cargill, the company that owns the ponds, sold more than 15,000 acres of them to the government so they can be converted back to natural wetlands. That means the pink hues will vanish and will instead return to their natural greens and browns. 

Point Buckler Island, a small private island at the edge of San Francisco Bay, east of the Carquinez Bridge, is up for sale.  For $75 million, you can own this island that is being called a “great escape for sports gatherings or corporate events." It's a 50-acre island, mostly undeveloped, and it's one of the few islands in the Bay Area not owned and protected by the state or federal government.

How clean is your house? The average person considers their home to be “completely clean” for only 11 days of the year,!  That's a lot of dirty days. We'll explore!
