You Can Talk to God, the Creator of the Universe, as Your Father

MESSAGE SUMMARY: God is your Heavenly Father and the Creator of the Universe; however, we can talk to Him as our father, and remember that He loves us. Imagine climbing up into His lap and imagine Him wrapping His arms around us – He is God our loving father. As God tells us in 2 Samuel 7:14-15: “I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son. When he commits iniquity, I will discipline him with the rod of men, with the stripes of the sons of men, but my steadfast love will not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away from before you.". We need to start talking to Him as the best dad there could ever be. Talk to Him about our lives; our concerns; and our needs. We need to ask Him for His counsel, and we need to ask Him questions regarding His will for our lives.

 

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Evil Ways. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit’s fruit of Goodness. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f).
