Hebrews--Week 3 (4:14-16; 5:1-6)

After making the point that Jesus is supreme in all things, the author now shows us that his supremacy does not create a barrier between us and Him, but rather He is the one who removes the barrier between us and God. The supreme One came to this earth in human flesh and endured all of the sufferings and temptations of this life without sin, died in our place, and now pleads our case before God. What a beautiful, glorious hope we have in Jesus!
