Dr. Margolese is a staff psychologist at the Jewish General Hospital’s Child Psychiatry Outpatient Department and an Associate Member in McGill University’s Department of Psychiatry. She’s also the co-author of My Brain Team: What to Do When Emotions Run High, a therapeutic resource that helps kids understand and regulate their emotions.
In this episode, we dive into the science behind emotional regulation, how parents can help their teens "close their lid" during emotional outbursts, and why validation is key in building trust.
