Women more at risk in COVID crisis – Fitzgerald

The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed gender inequalities in the EU according to Dublin MEP Frances Fitzgerald.

 

She’s presenting a report on the issue to the European Parliament today.

 

It found the women are more at risk of contracting the virus due to disproportionately high representation amoung frontline workers.

 

Frances Fitzgerald says lessons must be learned.
