How Your Career Affects Your Identity.

How do our careers define us? They provide meaning – lawyers, medical field workers, military personnel, mechanics, bankers, waste removal, plumbers, etc. They All provide a service that others cannot and give a sense of purpose to their families, communities, and something larger than themselves. It provides direction, people excel at what they like because they are more interested in it. It anchors us and provides stability in an otherwise chaotic world. In this episode, we talk about the good and the bad and what happens when enmeshment kicks in, and what we do defines us instead of who we are.
