In the Norse legends, the moon represented the Norse god Mani, brother to Sol, the sun. This brother/sister team provided a balance to our existence. Sol brought intellect, while Mani helped us to form the questions, just as the sun brought illumination, Mani re-established the expansive abilities of the darkness.
