Solidarity and Support for Ireland in Brexit Talks from MEPs - Hayes

The President of the European Commission insists the EU is maintaining an ‘Ireland First’ approach to the Brexit negotiations.

Jean-Claude Juncker made his comments as MEPs in Strasbourg debated the upcoming leaders summit on the 18th of October.

The British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt came in for sharp criticism after comparing the EU to the Soviet Union at the Conservative Party conference in Britain.

While the debate took place in the shadow of the DUP leader Arlene Foster’s comments that the Good Friday Agreement was not sacrosanct.
