The Sinn Finn MEP Matt Carthy has defended his party leader Gerry Adams and says he’s not pulling the party down. The Midlands North-West MEP was responding to the latest controversy to dog Mr Adams. The row over Brian Stack’s murder and his family’s attempts to seek the truth behind their father’s death in 1983 has again raised questions about Mr Adams’s credibility. However, Matt Carthy argues Mr Adams is not damaging Sinn Fein.
