Throughout our lives, people preach values to us: moral values, spiritual values, societal values. End the end, our life becomes a reflection of what we value. Yes, even the sad, difficult, parts of life are driven by our values and this is because we value, that is give importance to things that are not in our own best interest. For example, I was repeatedly criticized and told I was bad as a child, and as a result, I went out into the world valuing relationships that supported that belief. Our beliefs drive our values, which in turn drive our perceptions and our actions.
