Before we had kids, we had these images in our heads of what parenthood was going to look like. Holding our daughter's hand as she plants a seed in the garden. Hoisting our son onto our shoulders so he can pretend to be an airplane.
But for some of us, parenthood ended up looking like a fistful of beheaded action figures being hurled through the air towards our eyes.
And you know what? There's something beautiful about that, too.
