Mid-Session 18 Oct 19: ASX extends losses at lunch on Friday

The Aussie market has extended losses so far on Friday with the ASX 200 down by roughly 25 points to 6659 heading into lunch. Local shares received a fairly mixed lead from overseas markets as investors digested a number of geopolitical developments. Losses have been rather wide spread on the local bourse with energy, financials and consumer stocks among the worst performers.
