Athlete, inventor, scientist, professional musician, entrepreneur and author. A Doctor of Mathematics and Oceanography, Tom invented a technology to convert energy in ocean waves into electricity (more info about that on the link below).
In 2012 (at the age of 50), Tom embarked upon a charity run around the world to raise money for Oxfam. The run was expected to take just over 18 months, and cover 26,000 km.
In this Podcast, Tom talks about his record-breaking adventure, overcoming injuries, enduring extreme temperatures and a near death experience.
