Here are 3 big things you need to know—

 

One — President Trump is calling on the Supreme Court to quickly hear an appeal on his tariffs, after a lower court ruled that most of them are illegal.  A federal appeals court ruled last week that Trump had exceeded his authority imposing steep levies on nearly every country.  According to the filings, Trump is asking the justices to hear arguments on the case in early November.

 

Two ---  Former President Joe Biden recently had Mohs surgery, according to a Biden spokesperson. Mohs surgery is a common procedure used to treat skin cancer. Biden was recently spotted around Delaware with a bandage on his head.

And number three ---   The Army is extending orders for the Washington, D.C., National Guard to remain on active duty in the nation’s capital through Nov. 30. That’s according to ABC News. President Donald Trump could still cut the mission shorter than Nov. 30, if desired, or extend the deployment past that date. That essentially leaves the deployment open-ended for now.
