#071 Becoming the 0.1% (with Gareth Timmins)

Former Royal Marine commando, Gareth Timmins joins us on the Mantality podcast. Gareth has released his new book: “Becoming the 0.1% - How To Build An Elite Mindset”. The first-ever diary account of this training regime, charting the odds stacked journey of a 20-year-old recruit and the psychological underpinnings written by him 14 years later.

Each week of training is accompanied by lessons on psychological shortcomings and performance. It uses real-life and often terrifying experiences to describe to the reader the psychological edge needed to succeed and cultivate a 0.1% mindset.

Members of our Evolve coaching program joined us live in the audience and had the opportunity to ask their own questions directly to Gareth. We also discuss the book, Gareth's journey, and some wild stories from his time in the marines, including the biggest pirate attack ever off the coast of Somalia. Four marines had to fight off 50+ pirates.
