Just now, our world is full of fear—fear of an invisible virus that has driven mighty economies and great governments to their knees. Everywhere, the hearts of men and women are failing them for fear. But believers know that the grace of God is constant: we know the Lord who comes even closer when evil threatens us. The psalmist put it best:

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed.”
