Market Close 23 September 2019: ASX closes higher for a third straight session

Local shares have extended its winning run to a third session on Monday. Markets are cautiously optimistic after the US & China held low level trade talks over the weekend. The ASX 200 rose 18.9 points or 0.28% to 6749.7 with energy, health and property trusts improving most while industrials and telcos lagged behind.
