One of the country’s top real estate QCs is leaving Falcon Chambers to join surveying firm Malcolm Hollis as in-house legal counsel.
Nicholas Dowding QC - the only QC in Tier 1 of the Legal 500 for property litigation, and the only real estate litigation QC listed by Chambers & Partners as a “notable individual” - will join the firm in a consultancy role from 1 July. The announcement was made last night at Malcolm Hollis’ annual dilapidations seminar.
The move will see Malcolm Hollis LLP become the only independent commercial building consultancy to offer in-house legal counsel as part of its dilapidations and dispute resolution service.
Dowding and Malcolm Hollis senior partner John Woodman spoke with EG’s deputy legal editor Jess Harrold to discuss the appointment, what it means for the firm and the advantages it will offer clients.
