The Comic Panel: Planetes

Planetes is a hard science fiction manga series following a small spacecraft crew as they carry out space debris cleanup. While the job is not glamorous, it is essential to their space faring futuristic earth. One crewmate, Hachirota Hoshino, is forced to stop working when he develops a deep space disorder. Hachi then shifts focus towards joining the prestigious Jupiter Exploration Mission and resolves to face the obstacles, from the physical and mental trials to terrorists bent on stopping the mission. However, the people around Hachi are left wondering what kind of person all this pressure is turning him into.
