Todays Adventure Where We Live” takes us on the “Babe Haught trail #143” hike. A 4.7 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail, located east of Payson, beginning at the Tonto Creek Fish Hatchery. It is rated difficult, as portions of the trail are rough in places and should be traveled with caution. It was built and used by babe Haught to pack crops and supplies over the Mogollon Rim to and from Winslow. These days primarily used for hiking, trail running, and nature trips.
