Multiple prophets of old have spoken the same thing about the great tribulation that is to be sent by God at the end of this present world.

Centuries ago, the old testament prophets, Joel, Amos, Isaiah all spoke of the great tribulation of God that is to come upon this present earth.

God said:  Shall I hide that which I shall do from MY prophets?  

And God did not hide these things from His prophets.  Even before the coming of Jesus in the form of a man upon this earth, God showed HIS prophets of Old Testament these things that were to come.

We know these things are coming.  The increase of wickedness upon this earth signals the pending judgments of God that will also come at the end of the time appointed by God.

No one knows exactly when these things will happen, but Jesus tells us we do know the
"season" as we know when the leaves begin to bud on the trees that summer is near.

Noah witnessed the first destruction of this earth and a primary sign was the violence of men.

Lot saw the fire and brimstone come that destroyed Sodom and a key sign before that destruction was this:  

Genesis 19:4-5   But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:
And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.  (Homosexuals came from every quarter of the city of Sodom to have sex with the 2 men who were actually angels, who were at Lot's house.)

While many sins were committed in the previous generations, the one thing different now is this:  Sins are flaunted before all without any sign of shame.

This is a sign to us that judgment from God is near:
