“See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end.” (Hebrews 3:12–14 NIV11)

 

How do we keep our spiritual fervour? “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervour, serving the Lord.” (Romans 12:11 NIV11)

 

Four steps:

1. Love your time with God because you are loved by God
2. Awareness of self
3. Zeal for God’s kingdom
4. Y - It starts with you, but it’s not about you, Luke 9.23
