Days of our Lives Comings and Goings see Annalynne McCord has been cast on the NBC Peacock streaming soap opera, sparking speculation that she could be playing Abigail Devereaux DiMera, potentially resurrected from the dead. 

Abigail, previously portrayed by Marci Miller on Days, tragically died at the hands of Clyde Weston (James Read) in June 2022. With Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) still reeling from the loss and newly single after ending things with Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein), many fans are speculating a possible romance for Chad with McCord's character, initially named Marin. 

McCord's character description as "fascinating, complicated and devastatingly beautiful" and "almost angelic in appearance" fuels the speculation that she might be Abigail, who was known to be a heartthrob for many men on the Peacock soap opera, most notably Chad and his brothers Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). 

The character's expected debut in June 2024 corresponds with the two-year anniversary of Abigail's death, further adding weight to the theory. As anticipation builds, fans will have to wait until 2024 to find out whether McCord's character is indeed Abigail Devereaux DiMera resurrected, or a newcomer to Salem.
