Jim Roth is a professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Manitoba. Jim has had a rich journey through the biology world studying numerous different animals but some of his most recent focus has been on arctic foxes on Western Hudson Bay around Churchill, Man. Some of Jim's research focuses on the impact foxes have on their ecosystem at a broad and local level, den sites being an area of focus. We also chat with Jim about the relationship foxes have with prey animals as well as other predators, such as red foxes and polar bears.
