This shows it is not like we grew up hearing that we will all be standing in line to see if we make it to heaven based on whether we did more good than bad. Instead we see Jesus immediately separating (His People the sheep) from the goats (unbelievers). The sheep do not get in because of their good works, the Bible makes that clear. They get in because they have trusted in Christ as their Savior and the good works they do are a result, not the reason of their having been saved. The goats are those who never trusted Christ and will end up in hell. They are not there because they didn’t do enough good, but because of who they did not believe in Christ. John 3:17 "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 "He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Saved people demonstrate their salvation by the way they live as do unbelievers. Are you a sheep or a goat?
