When we make assumptions, we tell ourselves that something is true without any real evidence that it is. Is making a guess about someone or something worth the risk that we may be wrong? Is it worth ruining a friendship over? When we begin to make assumptions about how other people think or feel, we automatically eliminate what might have been a good conversation where we learn another viewpoint and come to an understanding. Let's try to make fewer assumptions, shall we? And if we can't see eye to eye... let's start with heart to heart.
