Morning Report 29 Apr 22: S&P500 records strongest lift in 7 weeks

The US sharemarket rose by 2.5% overnight, recording its strongest gains in seven weeks thanks to tech stocks. Meta (formerly Facebook) rose by ~18% after handing down a US$7.5bn quarterly profit in after hours trade yesterday. Apple and Amazon posted mixed results this morning.
