11. We want so much for all of you to keep showing that same loving faithfulness, being full of confidence and hope in the goodness and blessing of God, and to never give up.
12. So that you will be of the same stamp of those pioneers of faith who have gone before you, and whose faith and endurance caused them to inherit the promises of God.
13. When God made promises to Abraham there was no guarantor he could call upon to make good his own promise because he was the greatest of all, so he backed up what he said with all the greatness of who he was.
14. He said ‘Be absolutely assured that I will give to you the best that I have, and totally fulfill you.’
15. So Abraham was able to endure every adversity in order to receive that promise.
16. In human terms we guarantee something by having someone of prominence confirm us, which puts an end to any dispute.
17. So God, wanting to convince the beneficiaries of his promise that what he said was absolutely firm and unchangeable, confirmed the promise given, by his own word, and with a vow backed by his own character and reputation.
18. These are two such uncompromising qualities, through which it makes it impossible for God to lie, that we can rest in this, the greatest of all assurances. It is our shelter from doubt, where we can expect God’s goodness towards us at all times.
19. This hope and expectation of his goodness and blessing is the anchor of our soul that settles all our values and thoughts and emotions, and takes us into the presence of God, behind the veil.
When God’s goodness is believed in, despite the setbacks of life, it generates a cycle of blessing. There is faith in his blessing coming to us from within the veil first, not just in external things. When we believe in his blessing from within we become free and strong to release his blessing outward to others. This sets up a supernatural faith cycle of blessing and abundance, not a cycle of want and lack.
Ephesians 4:13 (Until we all come to the unity of the faith…) 15. But when truth is proclaimed and it is empowered by God’s love it causes us as a body to grow and develop in alignment with Christ who is the head of that body.
16. From this alignment of the body with its head, which is Christ, comes the perfect synergy of a completely balanced and effective body, which coordinates fluently, as each part contributes the best it has in the best possible way so that the whole body resonates with the expression of God’s love. The sinews are bonds of support for coordination of movement – fulfilled in love
The muscle is for supernatural empowerment to do what needs doing – fulfilled in love.
The skin displays the loving unity to the outside of what is happening on the inside - love.
The Spirit comes from the four winds – an outpouring of The Holy Spirit – fulfilled in love.
