MEPs back Kelly’s Brexit law

The European Parliament has voted through safeguards in case UK breaches the Brexit deal in future. The sanctions mechanism would allow the EU to react with trade tariffs and other countermeasures. Fine Gael MEP, Sean Kelly, was tasked with getting the new rules through the European Parliament. He says even if relations with the UK are currently more positive, it makes sense for the EU to be prepared for the future.
