Welcome to Day 8 of our Peace on Earth Advent series!
Today’s Gospel brings us John the Baptist, crying out in the wilderness with a message that is as urgent today as it was 2,000 years ago:
👉 Repent. Acknowledge your sins. Prepare the way for the Lord.
Father Jonathan reminds us that people didn’t just listen to John —
they responded. They went out, named their sins, and let God transform their hearts.
And that’s the invitation for us on Day 8.
What sin is blocking your peace?
Where have you refused to surrender something to God?
Will you go to confession this Advent?
Confession isn’t about shame — it’s about freedom, healing, and becoming the person God created you to be.
Jesus Himself gave us the sacrament so we could live with joy, clarity, and peace.
Today’s reflection invites you to:
• Look honestly at what needs healing
• Stop making excuses for delay
• Say “yes” to grace now, not later
• Prepare your heart for Christ with sincerity and courage
“Go to confession. Go to confession. Go to confession.”
Not someday — this Advent.
May the Lord give you courage and peace as you enter Week 2 of Advent.
