Should We Take The Bible Literally

Today’s topic is one that has sparked debate for centuries, even divided churches and people of faith: 

Some Christians denominations believe the Bible is 100% literal, from the 6-day creation to the end of the world as we know it.  Others argue that parts of the Scriptures use metaphors, parables, and symbolism to convey deeper truths.  But how do we know what to take at face value, take seriously, and what to interpret figuratively.
