7th Heaven was one of our favorites. It's simple and sappy, but it still manages to strike a chord that resonated with audiences back in 1927 and with us in 2020. It won four other Academy Awards, but was merely a nominee for Best Picture. Was the Academy correct to keep this movie to a mere nomination or was 7th Heaven robbed of the Best Picture award?
