Ecclesiastes is an internal roadmap of Solomon’s quest for happiness, a quest that led Solomon to the bitter disappointment of what seemed like going in circles, and never attaining the happiness that he pursued, until in the end, he realized he was looking in all the wrong places for happiness. Solomon uses several powerful images to illustrate the meaninglessness of life apart from God. In the end, he came to the conclusion that true happiness can only be found in loving God and living for Him each day.
