Ashley has nearly a decade of experience in the housing industry, she has played an instrumental role at the California Housing Finance Agency (CalHFA). Actively working at CalHFA in the marketing and communications department serving single-family and multifamily real estate and lending, where she coordinated and hosted events focused on ownership strategies for homebuyers throughout California. I am also responsible for the design and execution of CalHFA’s urban outreach initiative which consists of advocating for minorities in the low to the moderate-income population with the intent of changing the narrative of homeownership through education. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Community Business Briefing is a weekly Zoom webcast that streams live on Facebook. The Community Briefing was inspired by Crystal Mitchell, President of Mitchell Business Solutions and Co-Director of Recycling Black Dollars in April of 2020 in response to the coronavirus pandemic economic impact on our minority businesses. Our goal is to provide small and minority businesses in our region with the most and relevant information on various relief programs and initiatives. Since then, the webcast has expanded to not only help minority businesses by bringing stakeholders in our community to the table to keep the community informed.
