Morning Report 11 Jun 20: ASX 200 set for a lower open after Fed re-affirms commitment to low interest rates

US sharemarkets were mixed again in a volatile session on Wednesday as investors digested the latest comments by the Fed chair. Banks fell but technology shares rose. The Dow Jones index fell by 282 points or 1.0% after tracking a 417 point range. The S&P500 index fell by 0.5%. But the Nasdaq index was up 67 points or 0.7% to fresh record highs.
