#1: LIES
Your excuses are liars, your doubts are thieves.
The more times in a day that you rationalize why you can’t become all that you wish to be fertilizes and enforces the prison your mind operates in. Your excuses in time actually become real restraints and not just lies. You build your own prison to quote Creed… don’t hate me.
What does scripture say?
Satan is a liar! John 8:44
You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
The danger is not being lied to and believing it. It is lying to yourself and believing it. For in that moment you have created distrust, and therefore can no longer believe in yourself… let that sink in for a moment.
Satan whispers in our ear as if it is our own thoughts… if we choose to believe him, ourselves or anyone else that is contrary to scripture we are choosing to live outside of our potential and destiny.
#2: Your it
Blaming others is giving your power to people. We reinforce our psychological victim stories and procrastination patterns to the point where they actually become our identity the more we blame.
The greatest single most metaphysical momentum changer is choosing to take responsibility.
What are the top 3 things in your life that frustrate you? Now take responsibility for them and change them.
#3: Focus
Focus can be a form of complaining.
The more you focus on what’s not working for you, the more you’ll be training your brain to look for those things in your environment.
Focus on how little money you have and all you’ll see is more scarcity of prosperity.
Focus on how mean people are and you’ll notice more mean people.
Focus on the lack of opportunities and you’ll witness more closed doors.
Don’t believe me?
Kim and I went on vacation and our rental car was an arcadia… we had never seen them before in Minnesota. we liked it and thought they must be popular in Florida, but must not be good in the snow- that’s why we don’t see them in Minnesota. When we got home, we were picked up by friends and on the way home we saw a dozen Arcadias… our mind had been reframed by what we were focusing on.
Start focusing on opportunities.
Here is a challenge: Pull out your phone and write down all the opportunities to serve God, pray for others etc…
Write down all the opportunities to make money within your skill set.
NOW WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT? Expect to have about 2-3 dozen more flood your mind in the next few days… What you focus on is what you see and expect and attract to your life.
Matt. 6:33
Seek me first… Focus on God first… why? because pretty soon that is all you will see! His will, his opportunities, his blessing, his gifting, his open doors.
#4: Flat line
Why is life so blah blah blah flatlined?
You don’t have the energy to go after it….why? Health? maybe a part of it. But mostly due to the fact that your goals are to low, they have no spark, no wow factor!
My goals are my alarm clock in the morning. Jesus came to give us life and life abundantly… why don’t we feel that Zoe life? because somewhere we have exchanged Gods life for our lower expectations life. A “life” free life, if you will. A life that protects us from failure by not going after Gods life.
Jesus came to give us life and life abundantly…. just think if I made you a guitar… It would probably be ok…. but what if the greatest luthier made you a guitar?
God’s life is above and beyond what we could expect… the author of life is giving us a hand made, perfect amazing life (I don’t mean perfect as in no problems, I simply mean the perfect life for us in order to be all that we can be)
Why would you not go after that?
Fear.
but if you press into god and experience his love- it casts out all fear and you can push in even harder for his life. His goals, his accomplishments.
