When it comes to putting together prices for services, many event planners opt for packages. While offering a standard price for your services can be beneficial, it can also cost you opportunities and money.  In today’s episode, host May Yeo Silvers explains why she believes offering packages isn’t the smartest business decision.

 

According to May, the main reason why event planners offer packages is because they want to know how to properly price their services. While it can sometimes deter unfit clients, May explains that publishing your prices online comes with many disadvantages like lost opportunities, price objections, and even shortchanging your abilities. To better serve her business and clients, May suggests that every event planner gets familiar with how long it will take to complete a task. Once you understand the value of your time, you can create a customized package for every client.
