Mid-Session 23 May 19: ASX 200 weighed down by lenders following recent gains

The ASX 200 has retreated in early trade, reflecting weakness on Wall St overnight. Additionally, bank names have been the greatest weight on the index having posted considerable gains in recent days. Corporate news has been plentiful this morning, including Aristocrat Leisure’s (ALL) 1H result, which saw the shares 7% higher at lunch.
