The official dates of this year’s South Dakota State Fair are Sept. 1-5, 2022. However, pre-fair open class livestock shows started over the weekend to to make the most of the stalls and show rings currently available because construction of the new Dakota Events CompleX-- or DEX-- is not yet finished.
