Long ago, birds lived amongst the people. But one day, the rain stopped coming, so the birds flew away. The ground hornbill wanted to help the people so that they could stay in their village. He flew for a long time to look for rain. He saw rain clouds moving towards the village. The hornbill gave a loud call! The people came back and were happy. From that day, people knew that when the hornbill called, the rain would come.
