US Close 16 Apr 19: Stocks snap 3-day winning streak

The US sharemarket took a breather from the recent gains, slipping for the first time in four days and for just the second time in 13 sessions. Softer earnings from bank stocks like Goldman Sachs weighed on the Dow Jones.
