Morning Report 19 May 21: US sharemarkets fell in the last hour of trade on Tuesday to end at session lows

Shares in Walmart rose 2.2% after raising its full-year earnings forecast. Shares in Home Depot fell 1.0% despite posting same-store sales above estimates. A fall in housing starts weighed on home builders. And telecom stocks fell, led by AT&T (down 5.8%). The Dow Jones index fell by 267 points or 0.8%. The S&P 500 index lost 0.9%. And the Nasdaq index fell by 75 points or 0.6%.
