The year is 1983. Reagan is in his third year of his presidency. Sitcoms are starting to become king. And Michael J Fox, before Back to the Future is even a twinkle is in his eye, capitalizes on this with his TV Show Family Ties about a young conservative son and his ex-hippie parents.
